About Us
Our founding team is composed of former LinkedIn engineers and a lawyer from Simpson Thacher. Our highly skilled team works relentlessly toward a single goal: to build software that establishes the new industry standard for document versioning and collaboration.
Our team works together in person from our offices in Brooklyn days a week. Our culture results in our hiring individuals who pursue perfection as the standard and who agree that collaboration and creativity flourish in-person.
We are backed by Y-Combinator and Accel. Our customers include some of the world's largest and most well-known international law firms, in-house legal teams, and small law firms that adopted Version Story when they were solo-practitioners, and that have grown with us as we have grown.

Our Mission
We created Version Story with the aim of transforming the lives of lawyers and other professionals by making it easy to organize their information and to work in teams. Software engineers have enjoyed access to these capabilities for decades with tools like GitHub, which enables them to collaborate with precision while avoiding the tedium of manually tracking versions. We believe that making these tools available to lawyers will empower them to serve clients with greater precision and speed, and further bring excitement and joy into their careers.
